For the Realm

Song of the ice Kraken

From the islands of iron a deafening cry
Bellowed out over the seas.
On a host of exploited ears did it fall,
Drowning out poverty and disease.

We men of the north we had suffered too long
The anger it swelled in our veins!
Of the spirited roars of lost warriors’ songs
Distant echoes were all that remained.

Then he roared, did the Greyjoy
Men of Iron sailed ships forth
But they came not to destroy
As the Ice Kraken came to the north!

And we stood tall
Sons of the first men
We stayed strong
Joined by the Kraken!
Our hearts they were hardy,
We paid the iron price
And the North was saved that day by
The Grey Hero of Ice.

With many northmen behind him the Ice Kraken rode forth
To Winterfell’s walls did he ride.
The Cuelty of Starkmen had taken their toll
The dire wolf’s support had long died.

With Bolton beside him they stormed the fell keep,
Stark’s last winter came to him, his bane!
The heroes stood against him and Stark, he did fall,
Distant mem’ries are all that remain.

Then he rose, did the Greyjoy
Men of Iron are we henceforth.
And we stand with them always,
Now the Ice Kraken reigns in the north.

And we stand tall
Sons of the first men
We’ll stay strong
Joined now by Kraken!
Our hearts they are hardy,
We paid the iron price
And the North will never forget
The Grey Hero of Ice.
